Flavored Coffee
Do coffee aficionados drink flavored coffee or is that for the weaker drinkers? While most people consider only unflavored coffee to be "real", adding some flavor can really be a fun and tasty too!
Flavored coffee isn't just a new craze either, the Arabs and Middle Easterners added cinnamon, nutmeg and other spices to their coffees and of course cream and sugar have been added since the beginning of coffee consumption. But aside from adding flavor to the coffee after brewing, today the flavor is added right to the bean.
Todays flavored coffee is enhanced by chemical means. Chemical flavors are added to the beans directly after roasting. A bin of flavored coffee can be very powerful to the senses but the taste is usually not as overpowering as the smell.
Flavored coffee comes in many varieties but can be broken down into the general categories of vanilla, chocolate, spice and fruit. The vanilla includes that popular hazelnut as well as French vanilla. The chocolate boasts flavors such as chocolate mint. Fruit sounds gross at first but when you try chocolate raspberry and coconut you will see they are just as tasty as any other flavor. And the spices of course include cinnamon and pumpkin.
If you haven't tried flavored coffee, it might be a good way to expand your horizons. There's many gourmet coffees that have some flavor along with the subtle flavors of their own. Ordering online is easy and you can save money and time by setting up a delivery schedule.
