You don't have to spend a lot to make a nice gift, one easy gift for Mom that doesn't cost a fortune is to pick out a few flowers that are growing wild and set them in a beautiful vase. The flowers are free and you could buy an inexpensive vase that looks expensive at the corner consignment or thrift store. Enhance your homemade gift with a fancy ribbon around the vase and it will be a Mothers Day gift which will please any mother!
If you want to get a little more creative, you can make your own gift basket. You might personalize it to the recipients taste and they'll be touched by the fact that you took the time to make them something! Fixing a gift basket for Mothers Day isn't as hard as you might think – you simply need some a few things to fill the basket, a useful receptacle
or other basket to display them, some flower foam, tape and sticks. You can even get really creative and use something other than a boring old basket to keep the items!
Putting together a gift basket is easy, simply take the flower foam, tape and sticks to put the items in the container or bucket. Of course, you want your Mothers Day gift to be picture perfect so the right thing to do
is to cut apiece of triangular foam or rounded hump and position it in the center of your basket.
Arrange the gifts in the basket by attaching them to sticks with tape to allow some height - wedge each gift into the foam to make a pleasing arrangement. Work from the middle out arranging the tallest item in the center and step by step shaping your way down the edge. Make an overall triangular shape – tall in the middle and tapering as you move down the sides. Lastly, cover any bare spots with the mossy grass or some other material that fits better with the personalized composition of the gift basket.
